Project Manager

Andersen is hiring a Project Manager in the UK to lead IT workstreams supporting business unit separation in a large passenger transport organization, ensuring secure system transitions, compliance, and continuity. 

The customer is a large international organization operating in the passenger transportation domain, delivering mass mobility services across multiple regions and markets. The company works within long-term operational frameworks and supports daily transportation needs at scale. 

The project is focused on managing and delivering IT workstreams to support the separation of business units ahead of franchising, ensuring systems, data, infrastructure, and third-party services are securely disentangled and transitioned with minimal operational disruption while maintaining compliance and business continuity. 

Responsibilities: 

• Developing and maintaining the end-to-end Business IT separation roadmap, including milestones, dependencies, and critical paths.  

• Leading all Business IT carve-out activities across applications, infrastructure, networks, end-user computing, and security.  

• Coordinating internal teams and external vendors to ensure aligned execution and timely delivery.  

• Identifying, managing, and mitigating risks related to data integrity, system availability, and business continuity.  

• Overseeing data migration, system replication, and stand-up of the new environment.  

• Ensuring compliance with security, regulatory, and governance requirements throughout the separation.  

• Managing project budgets, timelines, and resources, providing regular status reporting to senior stakeholders.  

• Facilitating decision-making by presenting options, impacts, and recommendations.  

• Driving issue resolution and escalation where needed to maintain momentum.  

• Ensuring a smooth transition to steady-state operations post-separation, including documentation and knowledge transfer. 

Must-haves: 

• Experience in project management for 3+ years.  

• Experience delivering IT separation/carve-out/M&A-related programs.  

• Strong background in business-led technology delivery across multiple domains (applications, data, infrastructure, security).  

• Confident operating at senior stakeholder level, with the ability to translate technical complexity into clear business outcomes.  

• Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with evolving requirements.  

• Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate+ and above.
