Job description

Andersen is hiring a DevOps Engineer (AWS) to enhance cloud infrastructure for a medical imaging platform, improving scalability, reliability, and delivery of AI-driven diagnostic solutions. 

 

The customer is a global medical technology company that develops advanced imaging systems and AI-powered software for clinicians. With decades of experience, it supports healthcare professionals in early detection, improving diagnostic accuracy, and streamlining clinical documentation. Its solutions combine high-quality hardware, intelligent analytics, and secure data management to optimize everyday workflows worldwide. 

 

The project is focused on developing and evolving advanced imaging and diagnostic solutions in the medical technology domain. The team works on enhancing the underlying digital platform to expand access to reliable, high-quality tools that support clinicians in accurate skin and hair diagnostics. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Designing, deploying, and maintaining AWS infrastructure (EKS, S3, Route 53, CloudWatch, VPC). 

  • Managing and optimizing Kubernetes clusters for deploying and scaling applications. 

  • Configuring networking, load balancers, and multi-region deployments. 

  • Maintaining GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines and trunk-based deployment workflows. 

  • Implementing deployment strategies (blue-green, canary deployments). 

  • Automating processes using Bash, Python, YAML scripts. 

  • Applying Infrastructure as Code using Terraform. 

  • Setting up and maintaining monitoring solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch). 

  • Monitoring system health, troubleshoot production issues, ensure reliability. 

  • Managing MongoDB Atlas databases in cloud environments. 

  • Implementing IAM policies, SSL/TLS certificates, and security best practices. 

  • Optimizing cloud infrastructure costs and resource allocation. 

  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS). 

  • Supporting development teams with infrastructure needs. 

  • Documenting infrastructure and deployment processes. 

  • Providing technical guidance on DevOps best practices. 

 

Must-haves: 

  • Experience in DevOps engineering for 4+ years. 

  • Experience in Linux administration, working with command line tools and shell scripting. 

  • Knowledge of networking concepts including DNS, SSL/TLS, VPC, and load balancing. 

  • Experience with AWS services such as EKS, S3, Route 53, and CloudWatch. 

  • Experience deploying, managing, and scaling applications in Kubernetes environments. 

  • Experience with deployment strategies (e.g., blue-green, canary) and observability/monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana. 

  • Knowledge of MongoDB. 

  • Experience with MongoDB Atlas for cloud-managed databases would be preferred. 

  • Experience in deploying and managing applications across multiple AWS regions. 

  • Knowledge of strategies for efficient cloud cost management and optimization. 

  • Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above. 

 

Nice-to-haves: 

  • AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer). 

  • Experience with Terraform or similar tools for managing infrastructure as code. 

  • Familiarity with Karpenter for automatic scaling of Kubernetes clusters. 

  • Knowledge of best practices for cloud security, including IAM (Identity and Access Management), encryption, and compliance. 

  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS, particularly in the context of cloud environments. 

  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment tools (e.g., GitHub CI/CD). 

  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., YAML, Bash, Python) for process automation. 

  • Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet). 

  • Experience with collaboration and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Teams).
