Join our ‘Application Security Software' Engineering Team!
Our engineering team works on Application Security products which help our customers to defend from web application attacks, campaigns, and breaches. Working collaboratively and encompassing the full engineering cycle, we're constantly innovating to deliver for our customers. Our contribution is critical to the success of our customers and Akamai's business.
Make a difference to our software quality
You will be involved in creating validation framework for end-to-end testing of the system, coming up with innovative ways to test the web threat detection logic, as well as working on test data generation, improving, and maintaining current set of tests. You collaborate with the development and service reliability teams as well as systems architects and internal customers.
As a Senior Test Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Taking ownership for testing your products, creating test strategies, and delivering high-quality software solutions
- Using software development skills to develop tools, test frameworks and automation of the testing process
- Developing and running performance benchmarks
- Collaborating with software engineering teams in an Agile environment on code review and product development.
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
- Be well versed in developing test automation in any of the following languages: Python, Java
- Have familiarity with using Oracle databases and SQL commands
- Have experience in working with Linux/Unix environment
- Have distributed systems testing experience
- Understand networking and Web protocols
- Able to pay meticulous attention to detail and possess excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Be a team player with an ability to work independently
