THE WORK
As a Big Data Engineer, you will be part of a team delivering data processing solutions for clients in the telecommunications, media, and technology sectors. You will work on both real-time and batch data processing projects using Big Data technologies. Our portfolio includes building and developing Data Hub/Data Lake solutions for a major telecom operator and one of the world’s largest social media companies.
Flexible: The work location for this role may include a mix of working remotely, onsite at a client or in an Accenture office – depending on specific project circumstances. With all our roles, there is some in-person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders, and communities. As an employer, we will be as flexible as possible to support your specific work/life needs.
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Experience working with Big Data technologies and a strong willingness to learn new tools and cloud technologies
Solid knowledge of SQL, including PySpark and Spark SQL or other ETL solutions
Understanding of Big Data concepts or data warehousing
Proficiency in Python for data transformation tasks
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in an international, interdisciplinary team
Fluency in English (minimum B2 level)
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE
Familiarity with Airflow
Experience with cloud-based technologies
