Data Engineer (Python & AWS)

We are seeking a Data Engineer (Python + AWS) to join a remote development team in the banking sector. The role focuses on developing and maintaining data pipelines, transforming and automating data processes, and working with modern AWS data services and the dbt framework.

• Working hours: Part-time – 0.5 FTE (4 hours per day), 10:00–14:00 CET

• Budget: 140-160 PLN net/ h- B2B

• Project length: Long-term

• Only candidates with citizenship in the European Union and residence in Poland

• Start date: ASAP (depending on candidate’s availability)

Project scope:

• Develop and maintain AI/ML solutions using Python and popular ML frameworks

• Develop and maintain data pipelines and workflows to support project requirements

• Automate data parsing processes to improve efficiency and scalability

• Develop dbt models to mirror transformations currently implemented in SAP Business Object Data Services and create new transformation logic

• Work with AWS data services to support scalable data processing

• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and quality throughout the entire data lifecycle

• Collaborate with the engineering team to improve data processing architecture and workflows

Competence demands:

• At least 3+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering or related data services roles

• Strong expertise in Python for data manipulation and automation

• Hands-on experience with dbt (ELT framework)

• Practical experience working with AWS services for data processing such as Glue, Fargate, Step Functions, Lambda, and Athena

• Familiarity with data pipeline tools and modern data processing technologies

• Experience in automating data parsing solutions

• Ability to work independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

• Good communication skills and ability to work in a remote and distributed team environment
