Senior React Developer (Next.js)

About the Project

For our Client - a global retail company we are looking for a Senior Frontend Developer with experience working with React and Next.js.

You will be working on developing new functionalities for e-commerce platform.

Work Mode: remote (with occasional trips to Gdansk office)​

Job Responsibilities

• Driving key initiatives related to the implementation of the eCommerce frontend

• Providing expert guidance and technical support on frontend technologies and best practices

• Participating in code reviews to share knowledge, uphold quality standards, and suggest improvements

• Mentoring and supporting junior developers with technical challenges and professional growth

• Exploring emerging technologies and developing quick Proofs of Concept to address future business opportunities

• Advocating for top-tier development standards and practices, such as Clean Code and BDD/TDD

• Supporting the organization in navigating complex technical challenges, including architecture, development methodologies, and CI/CD strategies

Expectations

• Min. 5 years of experience on a similar position

• Practical experience working with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and XP, as well as DevOps practices

• Hands-on experience with JavaScript development, including demonstrated expertise in Next.js, React, and TypeScript

• Proficient in writing unit tests using tools like Jest and related testing frameworks

• Strong understanding of core JavaScript, semantic HTML, and modern CSS

• Familiarity with CSS preprocessors and frameworks, preferably SCSS

• Knowledge of architectural patterns and software craftsmanship principles, including Clean Code, Clean Architecture, and related best practices

• Experience with CI/CD processes and tools such as Jenkins and Azure DevOps, along with practical use of Docker for containerization

• Awareness of frontend performance optimization, cross-browser and cross-device compatibility, and testing techniques

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

• Nice to have: Familiarity with UX principles, wireframing tools like Figma or Abstract, and web analytics platforms such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics
