About the Project

We are looking for Senior Java EE Developer to join a project from logistics industry. You will become part of the team supporting customers throughout the import, export, and customs procedures and handle invoicing across more than 130 countries. 

Work Mode: hybrid model from Gdańsk (frequency to be agreed)

Start of the project: January 2026

Job Responsibilities

• Design and build applications using Java EE

• Work within an architecture grounded in Clean Architecture principles and Domain-Driven Design

• Examine current systems, solutions, business workflows, and requirements in close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners

• Migrate existing commercial applications from a procedural technology stack to a modern, cloud-based platform

• Create automated tests (unit, database, and Selenium-based integration tests)

• Contribute to every stage of the software development lifecycle - analysis, design, testing, deployment, maintenance, and 3rd-level support

• Collaborate directly with colleagues from across the globe

Expectations

• Min. 5 years of experience

• Strong object-oriented programming and Java EE skills (including JPA, CDI, JTA, JAX-RS, Servlet, Messaging, Batch & Stream processing, Logging & Monitoring)

• Experience with software design and modeling tools (e.g., UML)

• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL

• Understanding of software development processes, with flexibility and strong customer focus

• Excellent spoken and written English, with strong communication skills

Nice to have:

• Experience with agile software development methodologies (e.g., Scrum or Kanban)

• Interest in cloud technologies (AWS & IBM) and microservices development

• Experience with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)

• Knowledge in designing distributed computing and web service architectures, building large-scale applications

• Experience in test-driven development

• Familiarity with messaging systems (e.g., Apache Kafka)

• Experience or understanding of international logistics

• DevOps experience (e.g., Jenkins, Artifactory, Maven, GitLab/GitHub)
