Data Engineer

For our Swedish client, investment company specialize in private equity, we are looking for a Data Engineer.

The role involves automating vendor management with Python, then transitioning to engineering to build reports and optimize workflows.

The ideal candidate is a Data Engineer with a business mindset, able to work with stakeholders, automate vendor management, and improve processes. Should be comfortable with information security topics and challenging existing structures for efficiency.

Hybrid – 3 days/week from Warsaw office

Requirements

Technical Skills:

• Strong Python programming and data engineering experience (dbt, Fivetran, and Snowflake)
• Ability to automate processes and improve workflows (Terraform or other tools)
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (Hex, Power BI)
• Knowledge of information security and governance (will be a plus)

Business & Communication:

• Experience collaborating with business stakeholders
• Understanding of procurement and business processes beyond tech workflows
• Strong problem-solving skills and a critical approach to inefficiencies

• Focused on execution and delivering results
• Comfortable in a cross-functional environment
• "Lazy automation" mindset – always seeking ways to streamline workflows
