Data Solution Architect (Snowflake/AWS)

About the project

We're looking for a Data Solution Architect who wants to join a project from the healthcare industry. As the Data Solution Architect for Data Products and Data Pipeline solutions, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in the data architecture, design and deployment of data products and data pipeline solutions built on Snowflake, AWS platforms essentially. You will lead technical design and architecture work and evaluations. This to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-performance data solutions that drive business value. 

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical and data architecture as well as design of data products and data pipeline solutions on the Snowflake and AWS platforms ensuring scalability, data quality, security and performance
• Drive the modeling of entities and relationships ensuring accurate representation and integration within the data ecosystem of the domain
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data product owner and stakeholders, to align technical solutions with data quality requirements and usage data patterns
• Drive the development and execution of the technical roadmap for data product development on AWS and Snowflake, leveraging best practices and industry standards
• Oversee the data quality assurance, including code reviews, observability, testing, and documentation, to ensure the robustness and reliability of data products
• Create and maintain architecture and models documentation

Requirements

• Proven experience in technical leadership roles, with a focus on eliciting data architecture and building data products as well as data pipeline solutions on Snowflake and/or AWS
• Masters communication of complex technical concepts and decisions effectively to non-technical stakeholders, contributing to a shared understanding of the value and impact of data products
• 5+ years in a data engineering/data analyst oriented role with an additional 2+ years in data solution architect role in a large scale enterprise data warehouse / lake initiative comprising data pipelines, ETL processes in the context of Snowflake and AWS-based solutions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and levels of the organization
• English at least at C1 level 

Experience covers typically

• Development of conceptual, logical and physical data solution architecture and design
• Applied Data vault 2.0 principles in design and architecture
• Proven experience in optimization and fine-tune of data pipelines for performance and scalability
• Applied SQL, especially for data querying and manipulation
• Coped with challenges of structured and unstructured data sources
• Evidence of strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Good hands-on knowledge in Python development
• DevOps Tools, CI/CD
• Data Ingestion & Systems Integration
