Clinical Data Manager / Data Management Project Lead

We are seeking an experienced Senior Clinical Data Manager / Data Management Project Lead to support our global client in the pharmaceutical industry. The role includes independently managing the end‑to‑end delivery of Data Management services for single and multi‑service clinical projects, ensuring high‑quality outputs delivered on time, within budget, and to full customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in Clinical Data Management, providing leadership in project planning, execution, and close‑out, as well as oversight of financials, communication, and milestone delivery. This position may include responsibilities such as Data Team Lead (DTL), Program Lead, Customer Site Manager, or Subject Matter Expert (SME).

The role requires adherence to GCP, regulatory guidelines, SOPs, and internal CDM standards while driving excellence and innovation across data management processes.

Job responsibilities

• Independently manage end‑to‑end Data Management delivery for single and multi‑service clinical projects.

• Ensure high‑quality, on‑time and on‑budget deliverables aligned with customer expectations.

• Serve as primary point of contact for clients and lead communication across stakeholders.

• Lead and support large/global studies; provide guidance to DTLs and junior team members.

• Oversee project planning, execution, close‑out, and related financial activities.

• Resolve complex data issues and coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams.

• Create or review Data Management Plans and ensure compliance with DMP, SOPs, GCP and regulatory guidelines.

• Implement quality management, drive process improvements, and support organisational change.

• Support RFP processes, pricing discussions, and bid defense activities.

• Act as SME or Customer Site Lead when needed.

Expectations

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, health sciences, biology, mathematics, or related field.

• Minimum 5 years of Clinical Data Management experience, including 3+ years as CDM Project Lead/DTL.

• Experience managing multiple global trials through full DM lifecycle (including large studies ≥1000 patients).

• Strong knowledge of CDM processes: SAE reconciliation, vendor data, lab data, and new technologies.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder‑management skills.

• Strong project management, problem‑solving, and organisational abilities.

• Solid understanding of GCP, regulatory requirements, medical terminology, and clinical development processes.

• Ability to work independently and maintain strong client partnerships.
