CERT Analyst

Our client from the telecommunications industry is looking for a CERT Analyst.

The team is responsible for Cyber Tickets: tickets for cyber alerts and cyber incidents in SOAR; following up an incident, complete incident report and/or forensics report including executing summary of the incident, root cause analysis, timeline of event, MITRE attack summary for the incident, recommendations; implementation of detection rules in CERT tools (SIEM, EDR etc.)

Project description

• Cybersecurity alerts triage, qualification and analysis

- Monitor and analyze security alerts and logs to promptly identify and respond to potential security incidents.

- Alerts should be handling within expected SLAs defined by severity

- Analyze network traffic, logs, and other data sources to detect and investigate threats.

- Collaborate with internal teams to assess incidents and recommend appropriate remediation actions.

§  Leverage advanced threat detection tools and techniques to proactively identify emerging risks.

• Answer to request receive in the CERT mailbox

• Digital forensics and Incident response

- Participate in the response and investigation of security breaches, working closely with cross-functional teams to contain and mitigate threats.

- Apply incident response methodologies to minimize impact and conduct post-incident analysis.

- Forensics on Windows, Linux, Cloud environments, Web applications

• Threat hunting

- Apply your expertise in vulnerability assessment and penetration testing to identify exploitation detection ways.

• Participating in CERT customer activities and projects

- Participate in the operation and continuous improvement of security information and event management (SIEM) systems.

- Develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) for incident response and other critical processes

• Reporting to the CERT customer  manager

You will:

• Estimate, plan, manage, reports progress and complete all his/her own tasks in an autonomous manner.

• Clarify any of the requirements by interacting with the ecosystem (final users, customers, stakeholders, Product Owners, Managers).

• Collaborate closely with all the other members of the team (squad), taking shared responsibility for the overall efforts & commitments of the team.

• Take ownership of the quality of the tasks that he/she produces – according to the Definition of customer set at organization / team level.

• Engage and communicate with stakeholders to ensure expectations are met.

• Contribute to the functional expertise as part of the Chapter.

• The possibility to perform standard tasks if on duty is required during non-business hour.
