Software QA Specialist

Minimum requirements:  

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in manual and 3 years’ experience in automation software QA  
• Degree in Information Technology or another related field 
• Solid knowledge of SQL  
• Advanced Experience with code review 
• Advanced Experience developing and maintaining test automation tools and frameworks including mobile apps 
• Proof of solid experience with Code development and API testing preferably using JS 
• Experience with Continuous Integration Systems  
• Experience developing high quality test strategies 
• Possession of Foundation ISTQB certification is nice to have 
• Passion for being QA advocate to raise the bar for better quality gates 
• Working knowledge of Unix/Linux and at least one programming language and are willing to work with JavaScript/PHP 
• Self-motivated, fast learner and good level of analytical and troubleshooting skills are a must 
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work on your own initiative 
• Profound command of both verbal and written English 

Nice to have: 

• Experience iGaming  
• Possession of Foundation ISTQB certification  

This role can be performed as an employee, based in Malta, offering you the option to work from the office/hybrid/remotely. 

This role is also open for candidates not residing in Malta on a fully remote basis. 

Role's responsibilities:  

As a QA Engineer you`ll be ensuring the quality of deliverables through the application of manual and automated tests. You will be defining and maintaining test cases and improving test procedures. 

Your main tasks will be: 

• Establish and maintain test automation frameworks 
• Research test tools, methodologies, and trends and upgrade existing practices and processes 
• Develop new automated tests and tools for our product's frontend, backend APIs and other services 
• Collaborate with Software Development Engineers and Quality Assurance Engineers to determine which tests would provide most benefit and prioritizing automation of those tests accordingly 
• Collaborate with engineers to define and implement mechanisms to inject testing earlier into the software development process 
• Identify, share, and nurture the adoption of best practices in testing, testability, and maintainability in collaboration with the wider Quality function 
• Strive for the fastest feedback possible. Test parallelization should be a top priority 
• Track and communicate automated test coverage and test results in a timely, effective, and automated manner 
• Understand project features, review technical designs, and implement automated test tools that help deliver quality features with efficiency
