At Antal, we connect top technology professionals with exceptional career opportunities. For our client – a leading logistics organization – we are looking for a QA Engineer (Mid/Senior) to join a newly formed team working on a high-impact Yard Management System (YMS).

The solution aims to optimize and automate the management of vehicles entering and leaving major sorting centers, supporting the growth, efficiency, and digitalization of the company’s logistics operations.

This is a chance to join the team early, influence the testing strategy from scratch, and take full ownership of quality processes and automation frameworks.

Project & Team

Our client is building a Yard Management class system, crucial for improving flow, efficiency, and monitoring of logistics operations in large sorting hubs.

The project starts ASAP, realistically early January 2026, and is planned through April 2026.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing functional and automated testing of the Yard Management platform

• Designing and implementing the test strategy for the entire development team

• Building and maintaining automated tests in Java

• Creating test frameworks from scratch

• Performing requirements analysis and contributing to technical QA decisions

• Ensuring high software quality across the SDLC

• Working closely with developers, Product/Technical Program Manager, and UX

Must-have requirements:

• Strong commercial experience in building and maintaining automated tests in Java

• Ability to build test frameworks from zero

• Understanding of OOP principles

• Experience working with SQL (ideally PostgreSQL)

• Working knowledge of SDLC and QA best practices

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (ideally GitLab)

• Experience testing APIs (Postman, REST clients, etc.)

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently

• Communicative level of English

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with Kafka or other queue-based systems

• Understanding of event-driven architectures

Tech Stack: Java, Kubernetes, Kafka, SQL/PostgreSQL, GitLab, API Testing Tools
