AI Engineer
ABOUT THE COMPANY
We're building Europe's leading platform for managing warehouse, logistics, retail, and multi-site commercial real estate portfolios. Our unified facilities management platform already powers the daily operations of over 250 million m² of real estate worldwide, supporting more than 500,000 professionals across 100,000+ buildings in 35+ countries.
We're backed by a leading growth equity investor, scaling rapidly through strategic acquisitions and organic growth, and partnering with some of the world's largest real estate operators. We're now investing in AI across the product — and this role is the first dedicated AI engineer on the team.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for an AI Engineer who builds AI features that actually ship — reliable, observable, and maintainable in a live product. You'll be the first dedicated AI Engineer on the team, owning technical decisions around AI integration from the ground up: model selection, deployment, observability, safety guardrails, and evaluation frameworks.
This is a high-ownership role in a product used by hundreds of thousands of professionals daily. What you build will have immediate, visible impact at scale.
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
AI integration design and delivery
Design and implement AI integrations within our existing SaaS product, ensuring reliability, scalability, and production readiness. Build LLM-based feature pipelines and integration patterns that other engineers can build on.
Guardrails and observability
Build guardrail and observability systems to ensure LLM outputs are safe, consistent, and auditable — including prompt validation, output filtering, and monitoring via tools like Langfuse.
MCP integration
Lead Model Context Protocol (MCP) integration across the architecture in a Server-Client model, collaborating closely with platform and backend engineers.
Model evaluation and selection
Evaluate and select AI models with structured analysis across inference cost, latency, accuracy, and vendor trade-offs. Own the decision, document the reasoning.
Evaluation frameworks
Define and implement evaluation frameworks for testing AI features — covering correctness, performance, regression, and business alignment.
LLM infrastructure
Maintain and iterate on LLM infrastructure including key management, multi-vendor proxying, and model lifecycle management.
Architecture documentation and knowledge sharing
Document AI architecture decisions and contribute to engineering-wide knowledge sharing — you're laying foundations others will build on.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
AI/LLM production experience
1+ year of commercial experience delivering AI or LLM features in production environments — not just prototypes or research. You know what it takes to keep these systems reliable.
5+ years of programming experience
A solid engineering foundation. You understand distributed systems, write maintainable code, and know how software behaves under real-world conditions.
REST API and distributed SaaS systems
Understanding of REST API design and integration patterns in distributed SaaS architectures. You can design integrations that fit cleanly into existing systems.
Trade-off thinking
Experience evaluating trade-offs across cost, latency, quality, and operational complexity — and making decisions that hold up over time.
Professional English proficiency
Strong written and spoken English for cross-functional collaboration across international teams.
THE TEAM
You'll join a cross-functional product and engineering team in Kraków, working alongside platform engineers, backend engineers, and product managers. English is the working language. You'll be the first dedicated AI engineer — which means real ownership and real influence over how AI gets built across the product.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Salary
199,000 – 269,000 PLN per year.
Work model
Hybrid — 2–3 days per week in the Kraków office.
