Linux Administrator
Role Summary:
The primary responsibility for this position will be the management of Linux/Unix operating
systems and the administration of services running on these systems. The person in this
position will also be responsible for the maintenance of current production systems,
participation in new projects and providing support.
Job description:
- Install, configure, and upgrade Linux operating systems and software.
- Monitor server performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with the IT team to plan and implement system upgrades and enhancements.
- Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Cooperating with the security department to eliminate detected threats and at the stage of designing/implementing new solutions.
- Incident analysis and problem solving.
- Providing second line support.
- Develop and maintain system documentation.
Qualifications:
- Completed studies in engineering, telecommunications, computer science or similar.
- You have at least 2 years of experience in similar position.
- Expertise with server operating systems (mainly Linux Debian, Oracle Solaris but also xBSD).
- Knowledge of common Internet services (HTTP(S), DNS, SMTP/IMAP, etc.)
- Administration of servers based on the BTRFS, ZFS, OCFS2 file systems and LVM, DRBD
- Administration and management of ICT security systems (iptables/nftables).
- Administration of FTP, SFTP, SAMBA, DNS bind, etc. servers.
- Writing scripts in Bash, Python, Perl, etc.
- Strong communication skills.
- Good knowledge of English (at least B1/B2 level).
