A leading producer of operational software for the bulk construction industry, is seeking a bilingual (Polish/English) Senior Technical Program Manager. As a member of the Engineering Team, you will play a pivotal role in orchestrating and delivering customer solutions ranging from simple defect tickets to complex new feature sets.  

The company, based in Kenmore, WA, is a startup software development company specializing in mobile solutions for the bulk construction materials industry. The company works closely with leading companies in the industry to develop a platform for the entire quote-to-cash and customer-facing business process. The company has experienced rapid growth and increasing customer demand for additional software development. This position will have two significant components: 

• Collaborate with the VP of Engineering to provide management oversight of the engineering team members including items such as hiring, time reporting, assignment and accountability for tasks, removing roadblocks, adhering to responsibilities, and meeting project milestones. 
• Leveraging your communication, organization, and program management skills as well as your technical expertise, you will guide cross-functional teams in executing large-scale projects.

You will be responsible for the following areas: 

• Leverage technical acumen to understand project requirements and ensure successful delivery on requirements by leading multidisciplinary cross-functional engineering programs in the execution and completion of technical work for both internal projects and customer facing deliverables 
• Break down the programs into projects and coordinate across functional areas to deliver on the program deliverables 
• Program Management across its entire lifecycle; manage risk, monitor project schedule, review project progress and timelines, and identify and resolve issues to ensure project success; communicate with Product and Customer Success teams as needed 
• Monitor and provide hands-on recording, tracking, and reporting for meetings, project activities, and action items 
• Provide leadership for project teams by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones; drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple groups and to different stakeholders 
• Drive continuous improvement throughout project management processes, feeding ideas, recommendation of tools used & updating processes where needed. 

​​You have the following experience (at a minimum):​ 

• Bachelor's degree in Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field 
• 5+ years' experience as a Technical Program Manager or similar role, with a track record of successfully delivering complex software projects in a SaaS-based environment 

You have the following technical skills: 

• Strong understanding of Agile best practices across development, DevOps and QA; Scrum Master certification preferred 
• Proficient with Atlassian suite (BitBucket, Jira, Confluence) 
• Hands on engineering experience required 
• Experience in data aggregation and APIs 
• Fluency in development process frameworks, and an understanding that different strategies are needed for different situations

• Excellent communication skills in both Polish and English, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical concepts across all levels with an organization towards common goals 
• Able to perform remotely  

Other things for you to know: 

• LOCATION: 100% remote work but we are looking for someone preferably from Warsaw or nearby areas due to the possibility of needing to attend a meeting at the office once a month or every few months.
• TRAVEL: This​ position may require travel of once per quarter for one week​. 
• REPORTS TO: VP Engineering​ 
• WORKING HOURS: Role will adhere to standard working hours in Poland. 
• ENGAGEMENT STATUS: B2B Contract 
• COMPENSATION: 5000-6500 USD/month (employment contract not available – B2B only)
• CONTRACT: Probation period (3 months), followed by a permanent contract.
• VACATION: 20 days of paid vacation per year.

What does the recruitment process look like?

The process consists of 4 interviews:

1. The first interview with a Senior Advisor, a person with over 20 years of experience in a similar position, lasting about 45-60 minutes (in English).
2. An interview with the VP, Chief Architect, and Lead Infrastructure Engineer, lasting about 30 minutes (in Polish).
3. An interview with a Senior PHP Developer, lasting about 15 minutes (in Polish).
4. An interview with the CEO, lasting about 30 minutes (in English).
