Senior Linux and Virtualization Administrator (work in Gdansk)

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Configuring, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise Linux servers in virtual and physical environments

• Administering and troubleshooting VMware clusters as well as alternative virtualization platforms (i.e. KVM, Proxmox, Nutanix, etc.)

• Troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues in partnership with Tier 1/2 teams and external vendors

• Designing and providing technical consultancy for infrastructure-related projects with a focus on Linux and virtualization solutions

• Ensuring the compliance, resilience, and security of managed systems

• Driving ongoing improvements in system automation, efficiency, and resource utilization

• Mentoring junior team members and helping build expertise within the Linux and virtualization domain

• Staying up to date with the latest open-source, Linux, and virtualization trends

WHAT DO YOU NEED:

• 3+ years’ experience as a Linux Administrator or in a similar role

• Strong hands-on expertise with enterprise Linux operating systems (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, SUSE)

• Excellent knowledge of VMware vSphere/ESXi; familiarity with alternatives (i.e. KVM, Proxmox, Nutanix AHV, OpenStack) is highly desirable

• Solid understanding of Linux network configuration and virtualization security best practices

• Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and performance optimization skills for Linux and virtualization environments

• Proficiency in scripting and automation (Bash, Python, Ansible, Terraform, or similar)

• Familiarity with privileged access management and secure system administration approaches

• Experience in writing clear and comprehensive technical documentation

• Strong organizational and communication skills, including experience collaborating in global teams

• Fluent in English

NICE TO HAVE:

• Familiarity with Windows Server administration in mixed environments

• Experience with Active Directory/Azure Active Directory for integrations

• Understanding of ITIL and IT service management frameworks

• Certifications such as Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or VMware VCP

• German language
