SpotOn combines payment processing with customer engagement and business management solutions, giving small and medium businesses the data and tools they need to run and grow their business. Our tools increase revenue and connect businesses with their customers using rewards, deals, online reviews, website building, and data analytics. Tools like these were previously only available to big businesses with big bankrolls and their own developers, but our platform caters to neighborhood stores, independent retailers, and other small to midsize businesses. We have our service deployed in many cities across the U.S. and Mexico.
The ideal candidate will be able to:
- Ensure that our new and old platforms are bug free and ready to use
- Test across a wide range of products, from internal tools to mobile applications
- Develop test plans to cover various user scenarios and validate those test plans through the hands-on testing of systems
- Juggle multiple high priority issues at the same time
- Must have a “willing to learn” attitude
- Join an agile team of talented engineers from around the world
What skill are we searching for?
- 2+ years of relative QA experience
- 2+ years of experience writing test cases, black box and exploratory testing
- Attention to detail across platforms ranging from web to native mobile apps
- Working knowledge of JavaScript and Node.js
- Experience with test automation using Selenium and WebdriverIO
- Excellent command of written and spoken English (min. B2 level)
Perfect candidate also has:
- Experience with automation testing using tools like Cucumber, Appium
- Experience with GitHub actions and building/maintaining CI pipelines for test automation
- Experience with monitoring tools like Datadog, Kibana, Firebase
- Created and executed performance tests with k6 or JMeter
- Performed manual and/or created automation for REST API tests
