We are looking for Senior Test Engineer to join Sopra Steria Apps Services team for a client in the transportation sector in UK. The program involves a wide portfolio of applications developed by multiple teams that take care of detection and identification of vehicles, charging calculations, all billing and payment backend services etc. 

Note that we can only offer cooperation to people who are located in Poland and have EU citizenship.  

Mission/activities:

• Creating test cases and executing the test strategy using predefined testing methodologies, ensuring that there is traceability between the testing implementation and the requirements / acceptance criteria
• Ensuring that automated test activities are conducted in preference to manual testing where feasible and more efficient
• Ensuring that all application & technology testing is carried out in accordance with testing standards defined in the strategy
• Creating and executing manual, automation or non-functional test cases and ensuring that test status, risks and issues are reported in a timely manner using the agreed reporting standard
• Creating, validating and reporting defects in accordance with the defect life cycle documented in the Test Strategy
• Analyzing Non-Functional requirements and liaise with Architects and provide inputs to the Non-functional test strategy
• Working with 3rd parties to provide or give Test Assurance to client or 3rd party deliverables

Must have requirements:

• Min. 7 years of experience as a Test Engineer
• Strong analytical, problem solving skills and good attention to details
• Ability to build effective working relations with people at all levels across the organization and outside
• Strong written and verbal communication skills including ability to explain complex information with agile development teams including the test design and defect reporting
• Ability to analyze complex systems, spot trends, draw conclusions, and produce specifications and decisions
• Exposure to automation or performance testing tools like Selenium Webdriver, Appium, Visual Studio Load test, HP Load Runner, IBM Rational Performance Tester etc.
• Knowledge of programming language such as C#
• Working knowledge of continuous integration
• Being open to occasional business trips abroad and visits in our office in Katowice 
• Fluent English (B2/C1)
