We are looking for Senior .NET Developers with Azure to join Sopra Steria Apps Services team for a client in the transportation sector in the UK. The program involves a wide portfolio of applications developed by multiple teams, that take care of detection and identification of vehicles, charging calculations, all billing and payment backend services etc.  


Note that we can only offer cooperation to people who are located in Poland and have EU citizenship.  


Mission/activities:

  • Designing, developing, and configuring applications, components and tools according to the technical plans
  • Following and contributing to the Software Development Standards and Best Practices in the agile team
  • Upholding the principles and standards of Technology and Data to ensure that work delivered is of high quality, well rounded, robust, very high performing, and meets the priorities set by the agile process
  • Responsibility for development plans, forecasts and development budgetary estimates, to ensure projects can be planned in a consistent and timely fashion
  • Creating technical material in support of governance processes such as architecture and change review

Must have requirements:

  • Min. 7 years of experience in software development in C#
  • Agile Iterative Development using industry standard development methodologies and Microsoft Tooling
  • Experience in designing high-volume Back Office Systems hosted in Microsoft Azure
  • Expertise in the following coding skills
  • C# .Net, C# .Net Core
  • TDD, CI/CD
  • Object Oriented Design, Clean Code Techniques
  • Expertise using Azure DevOps for Git, Pull Requests, Backlog Work Item Management
  • Expertise in the following Microsoft Azure Services and technologies (including but not limited to):
  • Functions, Service Bus
  • SQL Server, CosmosDB, Storage
  • Azure DevOps, Bicep
  • App Insights
  • API Manager, Active Directory
  • Automated Deployment of Microsoft Azure services using Azure DevOps Pipelines
  • Automated testing of Microsoft Azure Services using Azure DevOps Pipelines
  • Automated Load Testing using tools such as JMeter
  • Behavioural Driven Testing and Acceptance Driven Testing tools specifically SpecFlow using C#
  • Expertise in monitoring and maintaining applications hosted in Azure
  • “Can-do” attitude and good communication skills
  • Being open to occasional business trips abroad and visits in our office in Katowice 
  • Fluent English (B2/C1)
