We are currently looking for an experienced Java Backend Developer to join our Sopra Steria Apps Services team, for a traffic management project that we are implementing for our Swiss client. The aim of the project is to enable users to keep track of the current situation on the state roads, by accessing information about ongoing traffic jams, closed roads, etc.

Note that we can only offer cooperation to people who are located in Poland. 

Responsibilities:

• Advising and supporting our customers in the development and introduction of innovative technology,
• analyzing customer requirements and developing solution proposals,
• designing and implementing modern software architectures,
• implementing professionally and technically advanced Java solutions,
• teamwork in agile projects according to Scrum.

Tech stack on the project:

• Java 8-11,
• Maven, Jenkins,
• Spring, Hibernate, GWT,
• Oracle DB
• GIT, Flyway,
• IntelliJ IDEA,
• GIS Server,
• Jira, Confluence.

Must have requirements:

• Min. 4 years of experience with Java, Spring,
• experience and willingness to work on a legacy project,
• good communication skills and pro-client approach,
• IT technical background (min. bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent field)
• English and German (min. B2),
• ability to go occasionally on business trips and to our office.

Location: Remote/Katowice
