We are currently searching for an experienced Kubernetes Architect to join our Sopra Steria Apps Services team.
The aim of the project is to provide IT hosting services for a large European Institution, based in Luxembourg.
The mission involves the maintenance of our AWS cloud footprint (hundreds of accounts), the creation of cloud-hosted IT services for our internal customers, in collaboration with other cloud integration and DevOps architects.
You will be working in international and large-scale IT environment.
The role is part of a team of 40 technical architects and 5 service architects under the responsibility of the Lead Architect on one hand, and the team leader of our Cloud Service Center on the other hand.
Mission/activities:
The mission involves the maintenance of our AWS cloud footprint (hundreds of accounts), the creation of cloud-hosted IT services for our internal customers, in collaboration with other cloud integration and DevOps architects.
- Help with the selection of services offered by cloud providers to build our own managed services
- Produce designs and guidelines to allow a scalable usage of those services, and transfer of the services to our 24/7 support agents
- Coordinate the technical integration with the IT tooling (Customer portal, CMDB, automation, chargeback, etc.) and with security guidelines
- Work to improve operational efficiency by providing automation and contribute to updating procedures for the operational teams
- Propose innovative solutions to respond to our customer needs
Must have requirements:
- 5 years of IT architecture experience
- Strong experience with AWS
- Good experience with scripting, automation, Kubernetes, CDK, Python or Typescript or JavaScript, hashicorp vault
- Ability to work and communicate in a multi-cultural environment
- Service-oriented mind-set
- Ability to communicate in writing and verbally in a clear and concise manner
- Initiative, accuracy and attention to detail
- English B2/C1
- Being open to occasional business trips abroad and visits in our office in Katowice
- EU citizenship
Nice to have requirements:
- AWS architecture certification (associate at least)
- Experience with Jenkins and Ansible
- Experience with cloud-native applications
- Working experience in a medium to large IT environment
