WE ARE
Building the bridge between SoftServe and the client looking for a Network Engineer who can help automate and orchestrate network infrastructures in our public, private, and hybrid cloud network infrastructure that supports our SaaS offerings. The candidate will bridge the gap between traditional enterprise networking and public/private cloud. Strong experience in network automation leveraging Terraform, Python, JSON, Ansible, REST APIs, and other automation technologies is required.
You should have previous proven experience automating against public/private cloud technologies. You will help drive strategy, design, build, support, and most importantly automate the network infrastructure within public cloud offerings such as Azure.
YOU ARE
A professional demonstrating the following strong competencies
- Extensive experience with networking technologies, automating network infrastructures (Python and/or Terraform) and designing/building/operating virtual networks in Azure
- A solid understanding of networking and core Internet protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, and distributed networks
- Software-Defined Network (SDN) and Software-Defined WAN (SDWAN) deployment experience
- Solid understanding of computer science, systems administration (Windows, Linux, Virtualization)
- Practice with system design, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Proven ability to work effectively within an Agile framework
- Outstanding interest and abilities associated with the automation of processes
- Proactive, independent problem-solving attitude, you like being challenged and continuously getting better at things
- Bright interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Fluent communication skills, especially in English
Desirable Background and Skills
- A degree or certificate in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- ITILv3 Certification
- Knowledge of network configuration protocols – NETCONF, YANG, REST-CONF, etc.
- Significant programming experience in any applicable language and understanding of REST APIs
- Experience with Configuration Management tools (i.e. Puppet, Ansible, Rundeck, Chef)
- Network switch or router administration (CCNA – Cisco Certified Network Associate)
- Knowledge/experience with Disaster Recovery concepts
- A concept/practice with enterprise service and host monitoring
- Expertise in performing backups, restores, and tuning
