Brief job description

As a Linux Administrator, you'll be part of a team responsible for the well-being of our VMs and software it runs. We host several environments of our solution - Open Telemetry Platform, deployed on several Kubernetes clusters.

We support our production environments 24/7, so you'll be joining in this effort (paid extra depending on the schedule).

We are looking for a talented, mid-level Linux Administrator to join our team.

What’s the most important to us

1. Proven experience as a System Administrator and Network Administrator (or similar role)
2. Proven experience with GNU/Linux, network protocols (TCP, UDP, GRE over IPsec, HTTP, REST), firewalls (pfSense, iptables, firewalld), and routing
3. Proven experience with Prometheus and Grafana
4. Experience with Kubernetes and containers
5. Basic experience with virtualization, cgroups, and VMware
6. Basic experience with relational and NoSQL databases
7. Ability to analyze logs and correlate them with Grafana indicators to find the root cause of outages
8. Basic experience with Ansible or a similar IaC solution
9. Ability to work with a distributed team using effective online communication, and manage time without direct supervision

1. Maintaining the proper operation of our telemetry solution
2. Developing and improving our monitoring solution
3. Responding to IT-related incidents
4. Taking part in IT-related meetings
5. Mitigating security vulnerabilities
6. Decreasing the operating labour by automating tasks
