Job description
Softjourn is looking for a driven JavaScript/Database Developer!
Project description:The system for interest assessment to find educational and career pathways for users. For each pathway, the system links user interests to careers, salaries, job outlooks, skills, and the education they will need to meet their goals.
Required skills:
- Java Script knowledge (Node.js);
- PostgreSQL/MySQL database development in Linux;
- SQL, PL/PGSQL knowledge;
- experience with stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
Nice to have:
- ETL experience;
- Python knowledge;
- API knowledge;
- experience with AWS Redshift.
Responsibilities:
- warehouse development on JS
- maintain and update computer programs and databases;
- write new code as requested;
- database management, troubleshooting and developing new systems to improve data analysis;
- implement and maintain database code - stored procedures, scripts, queries, views, triggers, etc.;
- work closely with the team to implement effective and maintainable database coding practices;
- work with product managers to ensure database code meets requirements;
- participate as a member in Agile teams, and work with other team members to review user stories, estimate effort to build functionality supporting user stories, and participate in sprint reviews.
