Vue Engineer @ bloobloom – Remote Role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Front End Engineer to join our growing team at bloobloom, an innovative startup based in London. Our mission is to revolutionize the eyewear industry by blending design, technology, and purpose.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using Vue.js.
2. Design and deliver robust, scalable, and secure front-end features.
3. Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, from planning to delivery.
4. Adhere to best practices, including TDD, CI/CD, SCRUM, and coding standards.
5. Stay up to date with and integrate new technologies to improve designs and workflows.
6. Collaborate effectively with colleagues across cultural and professional backgrounds.

Essential Skills & Experience:

1. 3+ years of professional experience building scalable, high-quality front-end applications using modern JS libraries like Vue, React, Angular
2. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
3. Proficient in modern JavaScript (ES6+) and CSS, with experience using frameworks like Tailwind CSS.
4. Experience working with RESTful APIs and designing maintainable software systems.
5. Strong understanding of OOP principles, software design patterns, and version control systems (GIT).
6. Agile experience, ideally with SCRUM methodology.
7. Excellent communication, attention to detail, and time management skills.

Desirable (good to have):

1. Experience with Vue 2 and Vue 3, including their differences and the Vue.js ecosystem.
2. Knowledge of Code Smells, Design Patterns, and SOLID principles.
3. Familiarity with Server-Side Rendering (SSR) and frameworks like Nuxt.js.
4. Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, and RDS.

1. Contract Type: Full-time.
2. Location: Remote (with the option to visit our London HQ).
3. Working Hours: 40 hours per week.
