Senior Platform Engineer

We are looking for a talented, passionate Senior Platform Engineer to join our Cloud Engineering team in Warsaw and evolve our elastic, large-scale, high-performance computing environment based on Kubernetes. If you love solving problems at scale, prefer to write scalable, reliable, and testable software to automate infrastructure management, are an ace troubleshooter, and are deeply technical, then this role is for you.

AS A SENIOR PLATFORM ENGINEER AT SNOWFLAKE YOU WILL: 

• Contribute to the team charter to build and operate a highly scalable and resilient Infrastructure, toolchains, and workflows that provide self-service capabilities for product engineering teams.
• Research and implement solutions to build a highly reliable and scalable Kubernetes platform.
• Evangelize and drive adoption of the platform and tooling to meet business goals.
• Build tools to facilitate greater automation and operability of platform services.
• Participate in on-call rotation and ensure uptime of services.

OUR IDEAL SENIOR PLATFORM ENGINEER WILL HAVE:

• At least 10+ years experience in a software engineering platform team in a Cloud, SaaS environment and supporting mission-critical services.
• At least 5+ years of experience in cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• At least 5+ years of experience in Kubernetes. Experience with Amazon EKS, Azure AKS, or Google GKE is highly desired.
• Strong software engineering background (Golang preferably). 
• Experience with Cloud computing toolsets - Pulumi, Terraform, Vault, etc. 
• Experience with configuration management tools.
• Firm grasp of IP networking, load balancing, and DNS.
• Good knowledge of distributed systems, APIs, and cloud computing.
• Tremendous attention to detail and ability to build reliable and scalable software systems.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Solid interpersonal skills, conducive to a team environment.
• Able to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Self-driven & motivated, with a strong work ethic and a passion for problem-solving.
• Experience and knowledge of Git, JIRA, and Jenkins.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field involving software engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

At Snowflake, equity is an important part of our total compensation package which is comprised of:

• Base salary 
• Bonus target or sales commission target
• Equity in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs)

The total target monthly compensation range for this job is 40 000 - 80 000 PLN

The final compensation offered will vary based on individual experience, skills, and job-based knowledge.
