Strong Middle/Senior Test Automation Engineer (AdTech)

As a Strong Middle/Senior Test Automation Engineer, you will be able to lead testing and test automation of the product in close collaboration with the Customer and the Product team.

In this role, you’ll be crafting and maintaining advanced automated testing solutions to enhance the quality of our software products. As a Test Automation Engineer, you’ll collaborate closely with our agile software development team to minimize manual testing efforts.

The Quality & Automation team develops test plans and monitors test coverage across the product. They write automated unit, component, and system tests to detect regressions early in the development lifecycle. They work with development operation teams to ensure test suites are run as part of the product’s continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. As a Test Automation Engineer, you will have the opportunity to groom requirements, develop testing solutions, and provide ongoing technical leadership.

CUSTOMER

Our customer is Beeswax, a rapidly growing US AdTech company, it has a highly technical team and an excellent technological culture. Beeswax provides extremely high-scale Bidder-as-a-Service solutions in advertising technology.

Sigma Software works with Beeswax to provide numerous key components of the platform. It is looking for engineers to complement the Beeswax engineering team and drive further platform development.

PROJECT

The project is about building the next generation of real-time bidding software that enables sophisticated marketers to break free from the limitations and constraints of opaque, one-size-fits-all programmatic buying platforms.

REQUIREMENTS

• At least 4 years of experience in test automation
• Strong automation coding skills in TypeScript or JavaScript
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Cypress
• Experience with CI/CD tools and frameworks (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Airflow, Concourse CI)
• Experience in performance testing (JMeter is preferred)
• Good knowledge of relational databases (MySQL is preferred)
• Full understanding and appreciation of the test pyramid
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in an Agile team
• The ability to teach others how to write quality code

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Write and execute tests to validate products and software applications
• Develop and maintain test execution and tracking software
• Assist in integrating testing into the CI/CD pipeline
• Collaborate with the Product team to identify product and technical requirements
• Collaborate with the Quality & Automation team and Software Engineers to identify, reproduce, and document bugs or defects
• Contribute towards architecture designs, providing feedback on testability
• Provide guidance and mentorship for less-experienced Test Automation Engineers
