We are looking for an iOS developer to join our Design System team.

The Design System team empowers product teams to design, build and ship coherent experiences with speed by creating a design system that provides reusable components, guidelines, typography, color palettes, documentation and more.

This role is responsible for the iOS implementation of our Open Source Design System, WARP, in close collaboration with designers as well as web and Android developers.

ABOUT THE PRODUCT AND THE TEAM

WARP is the Design System used by FINN.no, Tori.fi, Dba.dk and soon Blocket.se. It is an Open Source, multibrand, multiplatform design system featuring accessibility features and designed both for end-users and for Vend as the best Design System for our businesses.

Our team is responsible for driving, building and maintaining this Design System. Composed of Web developers, Native developers, Designers and Managers, the team is distributed across Finland, Norway, Sweden and Denmark and soon Poland, giving us user insight on all the platforms and markets our Design System is aimed at.

The team is very remote-leaning, although we have gatherings multiple times a year to collaborate on important topics and to build strong connections within the team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• As the iOS developer you’ll be in charge of the implementation and maintenance of iOS components, documentation and tests.
• You’ll have to collaborate with designers and other developers in the team to align the components between platforms and brands.
• You’ll have to collaborate with other teams to improve our existing components based on feedback and to make sure they fit accessibility criteria.

ABOUT YOU

• You are an experienced iOS developer with strong experience with Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit
• You have previous experience working with Design Systems
• You have knowledge about accessibility features such as VoiceOver or Dynamic Type
• You have basic skills in UI-design and knowledge of iOS design patterns
• You are confident in your unit and snapshot tests
• You like working remote
• You like collaborating and the back and forth while working on components.
