We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our DevOps-focused Platform Team within the User Foundations (UFo) Department.
🔷 ABOUT THE TEAM
The UFo department consists of 4 product teams (User Identifications, User Payment, User Choices and User Relationships) and 66 highly skilled people (Engineers, PMs and UXers).
Our team, located in Kraków and Stockholm consists of 3 DevOps and 1 Site Reliability engineers (2 people are located in Poland and 2 in Sweden).
We closely cooperate with 4 product teams from our department, central teams responsible for developing and providing cross-organizational infrastructure solutions and participate in other initiatives such as infrastructure guild.
Our mission is to streamline and improve DevOps and engineering practices within the department helping products teams deliver high-quality products used by dozens of Schibsted’s brands and their millions of users in Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland.

🔷 ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our DevOps-focused Platform Team within the User Foundations (UFo) Department.
You and your team will be initially focused on migration from EC2s to K8S helping teams migrate their applications to new runtime without downtime.
You will have a chance to influence work on infrastructure in 4 teams, consisting of almost 40 developers helping them to follow modern best practices.
Once all teams are migrated to K8S, you will continuously work on its technical evolution to improve scalability, productivity, and reliability.
You and your team will be responsible for creating a vision and strategy for the future of infrastructure and bringing the ability to test-fit new technologies and keep the platform from getting stale.
