As Solution Architect you will:
- Researching new technologies to optimize the current solutions and to make them sustainable for the future, applying in-house standards and market best practices.
- Assistance in finding the best tech solution among all possible to solve the existing business problems; technical and cost assessment preparation.
- Work on the architectural synergy and standardization of current solutions with a target on the technical roadmap and strategy.
- Creating, designing and reviewing solution architecture documents at high quality standards
- Providing specifications according to which the solution is defined, managed, and delivered.
- Providing technical input and expertise for defining the scope of proof of concept and assessment of PoC outcome.
- Controlling solution development by ensuring that all solutions, documentation and procedures are implemented and maintained in a fully qualified and current state as applicable.
- Supporting project management to ensure that resources, risk recognition, and planning stay aligned with the solution goals.
- Describing the structure, characteristics, behavior, and other aspects of software to project stakeholders.
- Recommending technological solutions that fit the clients' needs, capabilities, urgency and culture, proactively identifying and creating opportunities with broad input
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Information Technology or equivalent
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification (Associate or Professional)
- Expertise in Java 8 and Spring Framework
- Understanding software engineering best practices as well as potential security threats
- Knowledge of dependency management tools
- Understanding the importance of software learning
- 2-5 years of experience in designing and implementing large-scale software solutions
- Hands-on experience in architecting big data systems and analytical pipelines
- Understanding in databases and analytics, including relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle), NoSQL databases (Cassandra, HBase), Data warehousing, big data (Hadoop, Hive), NoSQL, and business analytics
- Solid knowledge of integration patterns and best practices such as synchronous vs. asynchronous communications, RESTful APIs, messaging, publish-subscribe, REST, SOAP, Web Services,
- Exhibits a Lean-Agile mindset, i.e. (Actively seeks for existing reusable building blocks that will shorten the design and increase the speed of delivery; Focus on “Reuse before Buy before Make” when providing direction on future solutions. The best solution may not need significant software development; Good enough instead of perfection)
