PROJECT INFORMATION: 
  • Industry: Finance/Banking
  • Type of project: Development and Maintenance
  • Project details: Most of client’s systems are designed with a mainframe backend and a Java-based frontend, and they are on a journey to constantly improve and modernize the architecture and design of their systems. Client is adopting new financial technologies to move away from a monolithic architecture towards API-based services in a new, open architecture.
  • Remote work: Hybrid model

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Develop and maintain applications in the Custody area.
  • Collaboration with Product Owner and Business Analysts to ensure the best possible solutions for incoming business requirements.
  • Incident handling and support to ensure operational stability.
  • Play an active part in our constant ambition to improve our agile ways of working as a high-performing Scrum team.

REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in various languages such as Cobol or PL/1 from the financial sector, telecom, pharma, or similar
  • Open-minded towards different platforms and programming languages
  • Team-oriented attitude and experience in working in an agile development team
  • Good oral and written English communication skills

NICE TO HAVE: 
  • Experience with Java development
  • Business knowledge in the asset management area
  • Experience with the Financial sector and working in multi-cultural teams
  • Knowledge of APIs and Java-based UI development
