Job description

Job Function:

The Consulting family forms part of the Business/Function Consulting track within the IT function. As Business Analysis Specialist II, the person will collaborate with business units or functional groups to clarify and communicate business requirements, assuring products and services are aligned with business needs. They will become business or function specialist, can be technology generalists or specialists, providing an array of services such as business process improvement, priority-setting facilitation, project definition or design, and broker IT and contract services.

A minimum of 5+ years of IT, business process, or consulting roles required. Knowledge and experience in gathering requirements, functional design, and working with business processes and an understanding of how IT affects an organization and ability to link it to redesigned business processes. They will have strong analytical and conceptual skills.


  • Guide the internal IT teams, customers on best practices of business processes and effective usage of tools and technologies.
  • Work within a global team, with team members in Europe, North America and Asia.
  • Create and update functional/business specifications and work with IT technical resources (internal and external) to complete the systems changes and enhancements.
  • Complete functional testing for system changes and enhancements
  • Learn the standard MES software: GE Proficy and related modules, including OpsHub, SmartFactory, and iHistorian.
  • Work with maintenance (CMMS) systems and dispense batch control systems.
  • Provide technical leadership for MES software implementation and upgrades.
  • Lead the Development and maintain system customizations and integrations / middleware solutions.
  • Develop and execute testing plans to ensure system stability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues jointly with vendor.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation.
  • Support minor user requests such as ad-hoc reports, data extraction, data analysis using Excel, Teams and PowerBI
  • Lead or assist in power user and end user training.
  • Participate in requirements gathering, configuration and process design sessions.
  • Manage supporting business process documentation, such as SOPs, work instructions, or process diagrams.
  • Develop knowledge of best practices, commonly used concepts/methods, and procedures for conducting business analysis.


  • A four-year bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of IT experience.
  • Experience in software development or technical support.
  • Knowledge of software development and testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing systems or architecture.
  • Experience in managing global application setups, services, and implementations.
  • Systematic, business-oriented approach, receptiveness to new technologies and good communication skills
  • Strong documentation and presentation skills experienced.
  • Must be willing to participate in a hybrid workplace with a minimum 2 days in the office

IT Hard skills

  • SQL
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • General system support / troubleshooting
  • Understanding of data management and data analysis.
  • Strong documentation skills, specifically of key analysis deliverables (business/functional/design requirements, use cases)
