Position:
As a Software QA Engineer you will help us ensure that the smart WiFi services we offer meet both our and our customers quality expectations. You will be part of a team located in Poland but work with colleagues from Slovenia and US. Interface development teams and work with early software releases for Plume Products and 3rd party devices running OpenSync.

OpenSync™ is an open-source software that delivers and manages evolving offerings of home connectivity and entertainment services. OpenSync acts as silicon, CPE, and cloud-agnostic connection between the in-home hardware devices, and the cloud. It collects measurements and statistics from the connected user devices and network management elements, and enables customized connectivity services. OpenSync introduces Wi-Fi mesh networks, access control, cyber security, parental controls, automated IoT onboarding, and telemetry.

Responsibilities:
  • Creating, documenting, and running of test plans relating to WiFi network connectivity, performance, and stability.
  • Be involved with new feature functional and design definitions for understanding of deliverables.
  • Interface and support 3rd party integration partner needs and requirements.
  • Build and maintain an IoT QA lab equipped with various IoT devices.
  • Analyze root cause of filed defects to the best of your ability, using embedded device logs and external testing tools.
  • Testing coverage includes functional, security, and performance features within embedded device firmware.
  • Integrate select test cases into our automated regression system.
  • Follow through with stakeholders in the company that includes Product Management, Program Management, Engineering, Support, and partners.

Qualifications:
  • BA/BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related technical field
  • Knowledge in WiFi (802.11)
  • Knowledge in Layer 2, Layer 3 networking protocols such as Bridging, Routing, VLAN, NAT, DNS and DHCP
  • Knowledge in programming languages such as Python, C/C++ is and advantage
  • Knowledge in WiFi testing tools is a big plus
  • Knowledge of Yocto / RDK platform is a plus
  • Software testing methodology, including writing & execution of test plans and debugging.
