This mentorship programme for women in IT exists to help close the gender gap that has left fewer women in IT field. We want to make sure that women have the same chances as men in the world of technology, and this programme aims to provide them with guidance, support, and opportunities. Our goal is to empower and inspire women in IT and make the tech industry more diverse and inclusive for everyone.
Welcome to Ørsted IT / Digital
You’ll be part of a one-year paid programme dedicated to female IT, science, technology, engineering, and math professionals looking to further develop in the IT world and reach an expert level in a specific area. The first six months of the programme will be intensively developmental. You’ll gain essential knowledge in the selected area that will allow you to dive fully into the role while doing concrete tasks under the guidance of your buddy and mentor. The following six months will be dedicated to using the accumulated knowledge and skills to start building your practical experience in the domain. By then, you’ll be expected to work independently on the assigned role while being helped and guided by the team when needed. After 12 months and a successful assessment in the programme, you’ll become a junior/regular IT specialist in the selected area with sound skills in the selected area and will be eligible to sign a full-time permanent contract with us.
We’re seeking the following competencies as part of the Women in IT programme (the list will be updated on a monthly basis depending on currently available open roles): Kubernetes/Azure, Python/Angular, .NET +/Angular, Network, Application Lifecycle Management, SAP, Python/Angular, Cloud.
You’ll play an important role in:
- learning new things and implementing them in day-to-day work, operating in an agile delivery model
- taking responsibility for the assigned tasks and delivering on them to the best of your ability
- seeking feedback and improving based on received information on a daily basis
- bringing value by expressing your ideas and opinions about the on-going tasks within your scrum master team.
To succeed in the role, you:
- are ready to commit to a minimum of 12 months of work in a junior IT role, incl. six months of fast-track development in the selected area of expertise and six months of consistent delivery on the role
- graduated from an IT, computer science, information management, science, technology, engineering, maths, or a similar degree
- have a minimum of six months of experience in the selected or related area
- have good problem-solving and logical analysis skills
- are an open-minded self-starter with growth mindset and strong communication and collaboration skills to create good relationships with stakeholders globally
- can communicate openly in English, both verbally and in writing.
