Cloud Transition Engineer

Currently, we are looking for an Cloud Transition Engineer for our team in Poland.

This role is focused on building, deploying and maintaining automations for Platform Engineering Services that will be implemented across various enterprise grade cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). The role connects operational experience and specialized knowledge in public cloud technologies with programming skills.

Your daily responsibilities:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining automated solutions in public cloud environments
• Working with customers during service transition projects to effectively implement PES tools into their environments
• Bridging the gaps where automated solutions need to be tailored to specific customer needs (in areas such as: monitoring, patching, backups, IAM)
• Documenting the implementation in the form of runbooks handed over to ops teams

As we have varying opportunities to work internationally, some readiness to travel in Poland and other locations in Europe is required.

Your key skills:

• Working experience working with at least one cloud platform (Azure, AWS or Google Cloud)
• Familiarity with any IaC tools (Terraform, Pulumi, CDK, Bicep, etc.)
• Experience with any modern monitoring tool (Cloud native, Datadog, New Relic etc.)
• Experience with high-level programming languages (preferably Python)
• Experience using git
• Basic knowledge of containers and container orchestration
• Knowledge of cloud security principles
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Fluent communication skills in English

What sets you apart (we’d consider any of these a big plus):

• Experience with more than one cloud provider (to build cloud-agnostic tools)
• Experience with patching, backup, DR and other IaaS maintenance practices
• Previous experience in building advanced automation pipelines
• Knowledge of DevSecOps and SRE principles
• Cloud certification
