Job description
As a Cloud SRE in Nordcloud Poland you will be:
- Improving performance and availability of applications running in the cloud and K8S clusters
- Working closely with development teams of Nordcloud’s customers, helping them achieve their SLOs
- Handling monitoring, troubleshooting, debugging and load testing of cloud native applications
- Developing automation and IaC for customer’s infrastructure and applications
- Contributing to our internal toolbox that helps us improve our processes, manage our/clients’ infrastructure, and scale the systems
- Advising our customers on how to adopt the best possible service composition of public cloud based services and tools
- Contributing to Nordcloud’s internal SRE community and enabling new colleagues
Our ideal candidate has:
- Strong knowledge on containers and Kubernetes
- Background in Linux/Unix system administration
- Software/programming background or expertise in modern programming language Golang/Python etc.
- Solution architecture design experience
- Good knowledge of Database technologies
- Monitoring and troubleshooting experience
- Experience with automation and IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible or similar)
- Public cloud platform knowledge, especially AWS and/or Azure and/or GCP
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies
- Strong communication skills, fluent English
- Self-directed and -motivated
As we have varying opportunities to work internationally, the possibility to travel minimum 20-30% in Poland and other locations in Europe (e.g. Germany)
All in all, you have a solid engineering/technical background/hands-on experience with developing and running platforms in cloud-native environments. It would also be a plus if you understand security, network, virtualization, load-balancer, storage and database.
