As a Business Analyst - Digital you will work with the business users to understand and document business requirements in user stories, help the business to agree the acceptance criteria that will be used to confirm that the functions build support those stories. During the user testing process you will help the business to organise suitable testers and ensure that the testing covers all the acceptance criteria.

Over time you will develop a deep understanding of the business goals and challenges in achieving those goals. This knowledge will help to anticipate future requirements and identify areas where IT can deliver more value to the business. This insight is critical in helping the product owner prioritise the current backlog and future roadmaps. Supporting the business with issues and change management means that the Business Analyst is key to understanding barriers to user adoption and strategies that can be used to increase the value of the solution to the business.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
 
  • Perform research and interviews to determine IT business requirements and then translate into User stories.
  • Help business users define and document acceptance criteria.
  • Analyse, facilitate, model, and organize information in order to reconcile conflicts, elicit requirements and distinguish solution ideas from business needs.
  • Serves as a technical liaison to business product owners and to the IT Development Teams:
  • Requirements gathering (user stories).
  • Coordinating and Facilitating User testing.
  • Provide issue management for end-user problems and ensure a consistent high-level responsiveness and customer care.
  • Documenting steps required to resolve an issue.
  • Understanding and anticipating how business needs, and market trends could shape and build the product line model.
  • Understanding product line goals, objectives and road map.
  • Ensuring solutions are built within the product line model and contributing the solution design for their product(s).
  • Assist in business Change Management activities
  • Bring inconsistencies and problems to the attention of management via sprint retrospectives and suggest problem resolution and business process improvements.
  • Support the scrum process by completing tasks as needed to support the completion of stories
  • Maintain continuous personal learning and development to remain technological relevancy in current and emerging technologies.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor.
 
CANDIDATE PROFILE
 
  • Bachelor’s degree typically within a technical subject such as computer science or significant level of experience in business analysis.
  • Solid business and/or systems analysis.
  • Operating in an Agile software development environment with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps etc.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills needed to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Familiarity with Web Technologies such as HTML, CSS, Javascript etc.
  • Knowledge of eCommerce systems and processes such as Shopify.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of SEO, Google analytics, and web content management would be an advantage. Knowledge of process mapping and techniques such as BPMN etc. is a benefit Experience of the CPG industry is an advantage.
