PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The IMM (Internal Model Method) program is a multi-phase, multi-year initiative designed to reduce operational costs for the Investment Bank. The role is within Credit Risk IT department and will require interaction with the front office, credit risk office (CRO), and product control areas, so communication as well as technical skills are important to succeed.
Team: Team size: the team is about 55 people distributed in three locations: Wroclaw (30), London (15), Warsaw (10)
The team is split into smaller cross-functional teams, implementing Scrum or Kanban.
All competencies exist in Poland (DEV, QA, BA, PM, RM).

WHAT YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL LOOK LIKE:

• You will own the requirements validation, data analysis and functional design of project
• You will work with developers, testers and PMs within a Front-Office Risk System, as well as other teams to drive the project through to completion
• You will learn the architecture of a front-office risk system and use that knowledge to validate work requests and requirements and to complete analysis
• You will provide SME support in the area of counterparty credit risk specific to OTC derivatives and Basel 3 capital requirements for credit risk
• You will initiate, own and lead projects, ensuring the requirements and solution design are complete and valid, including the control model and non-functional requirements like volumes and performance
• You will complete data analysis and define data models and mappings as required
• You will clarify the document project information and solutions and ensure knowledge is disseminated around the team
• You will review, support and when necessary plan and execute testing (QA, integration testing or UAT)
• You will conduct workshops, demos, POC (Proof of Concept) reviews to evaluate solution design
• Take part in various activities through all the software development lifecycle stages, including design, UAT/QA test support and post go-live activities
• You will build positive relationships with EPE business partners and use those relationships to facilitate projects.

SKILLS YOU SHOULD HAVE:

MUST HAVE
1. You have at least 3 years of experience in a business analyst / requirement engineer role
2. Analytical Thinking and Problem Solving skills accompanied by solid Interaction and Communication skills
3. Ability to translate requirements between business concepts, math description and technical IT language
4. Self-organization and ability to plan future activities based on prioritization of time, capacity and urgency while maintaining a healthy work-live balance
5. Experience with all phases of software development lifecycle
6. You have good SQL and understanding of database concepts
7. English: Advanced/Fluent
NICE TO HAVE
1. Understanding of counterparty credit risk management in the derivatives business
2. Experience in Risk IT (preferably Credit Risk) or a similar business analysis role within a financial institution
3. Good knowledge of MS Excel
4. Development background (SQL, Scripting)
5. Knowledge of requirements handling tools (JIRA, Confluence)
6. Work in Agile environment
7. Ability to take ownership of issues and follow to solution
