WHAT YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL LOOK LIKE:

You will use your architectural design and programming expertise to build out and support our portfolio management systems. These systems are used by our portfolio managers and traders to monitor and manage positions, exposure, PnL, and other financial data.

In this role you will:
•Design and Develop server-side components utilizing Akka.Net (moving to a .Net Core containerized platform) in a service-oriented architecture.
•Guide, mentor and coach more junior developers on best practices, design principles, testing principles and implementation of efficient distributed, scalable components.
•Conduct regular code and design reviews to ensure quality of deliverables.
•Research and Development - continue to review technologies out there in the marketplace in terms of their "Fit For Purpose".
Create highly optimized database objects (tables, views, stored procedures) using Microsoft SQL-Server and T-SQL.

SKILLS YOU SHOULD HAVE:

Must have:
Required Experience and Skills:
•Architectural experience in designing and implementing large distributed multi process service orientated systems.
•Specific experience in designing and building systems using Akka.Net and .Net Core.
•Experience in building and deploying applications on a scalable containerized platform.
•Experience in automated CI/CD pipelines using technologies like Jenkins.
•Developing optimized database objects with SQL Server.
•Working with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
•Experience using Git for version control.

•Prior experience in the banking or hedge fund industry.
