Software Solution Architect

Job Description:

We’re looking for a hands-on Software Solution Architect with a strong background in Java, mobile development (iOS/Android), databases, and Kafka. The role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of architecture, technical implementation, and stakeholder engagement. You will be part of international teams working on healthcare-related digital solutions.

This role combines hands-on technical work (50%), stakeholder collaboration (30%), and solution architecture (20%). You’ll contribute to design, troubleshoot production issues, define architecture, and support project delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and resolve issues in Java/microservices/mobile/DB/Kafka environments
• Engage with cross-functional stakeholders (business and tech)
• Design and document scalable software architectures
• Support development teams (onshore/offshore) throughout SDLC
• Contribute to DevOps, tracing, monitoring, and system performance

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in software development, including 2+ in healthcare (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of mobile app frameworks (Android/iOS), APIs, Kafka, Spring Boot
• Hands-on troubleshooting and debugging experience
• Experience with containerization, Helm, Kubernetes, Azure (AKS), API Gateways
• Solid communication skills in English (business and technical)
• Nice to have: familiarity with FHIR, HL7, OMOP, openEHR and German healthcare systems
