ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for experienced Backend Engineers to join our Payments Domain, the team responsible for secure and seamless money flows in and out of our platform. From integrating global payment providers to meeting new regulatory requirements and improving transaction approval rates, Payments is central to the LeoVegas gaming experience.
You’ll work on Rhino, our multi-brand platform built on 230+ microservices, handling millions of transactions every day. The role covers the full development lifecycle: design, implementation, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
● Designing, building, and maintaining backend services in a microservice architecture
● Developing high-performance solutions for payment processing and high-frequency transactions
● Improving platform reliability, scalability, and approval rates for transactions
● Owning services end-to-end, from requirements to production monitoring
● Contributing to architectural decisions and technical discussions
● Collaborating with developers, domain architects, product owners, and other stakeholders
OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
● 5+ years’ experience with Java and Spring Boot
● Experience with MySQL and Kafka
● Experience with microservices in high-traffic systems
● Ownership mindset: you design, build, and deliver complete solutions
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in English), capable of articulating technical decisions and offering valuable recommendations to the team
● Clear communication in English (C1 level)
NICE TO HAVE
● Experience with Kotlin
● Background in payments or financial applications
