Senior Mainframe Specialist

Salary: 1100 - 1300 PLN/MD on B2B

Work model: hybrid from Gdynia / Gdańsk / Warszawa / Łódź (3 days per week from the office) or remote

Project

You will be involved in a project focused on migrating mainframe technologies from Broadcom/CA tools to alternative solutions within a banking environment. The project involves analysing the current use of mainframe technologies, designing replacement solutions, and supporting the rollout of the changes.

Responsibilities you'll have

• Analysing the current use of mainframe software in the bank

• Defining, assessing and designing alternative and new solutions to replace the existing ones

• Planning migrations to the new target solutions

• Executing migrations and supporting the rollout of the changes

Expected competences and knowledge

• Knowledge and experience working with IBM z/OS

• Strong experience in Endevor configuration

• Experience in cross-platform communications

• Solid understanding and experience of mainframe and midrange scripting languages

• Knowledge of mainframe Unix System Service

Nice to have: 

• Knowledge or experience with CA tools such as Easytrieve, Telon, JCL Check, CA Spool and TPX

• Knowledge of mainframe SDLC, CI/CD and VS Code

• Understanding of midrange tools and integration with mainframe systems

• Knowledge of mainframe infrastructure, including transaction managers, databases, queue systems, CICS and IMS
