Project

The Senior IT Developer Production Systems is responsible for the design, development, support, and continuous improvement of production IT systems in the production environment. The role focuses on advanced troubleshooting of complex production incidents, development of custom applications and scripts in TCL, and deep technical support of MES and related shop floor systems. The position plays a critical role in ensuring production continuity, system reliability, and compliance with IATF 16949 and TISAX requirements.

What you will be doing

• Provide expert-level (L3) support for production IT systems, including MES and related shop floor applications
• Analyze and resolve complex, production-critical incidents and systemic issues
• Design, develop, and maintain custom applications, extensions, and automation scripts using TCL
• Support and improve integrations between MES, PLCs, databases, and other production systems
• Act as a technical escalation point for IT Technicians and Client Technology teams
• Participate in system architecture decisions, technical design reviews, and root cause analyses
• Support production during critical situations, including planned on-call or weekend support
• Contribute to system standardization, performance optimization, and technical debt reduction
• Create and maintain technical documentation, code documentation, and operational procedures
• Cooperate closely with Production Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, PC&L and global IT teams
• Ensure production systems are operated and developed in compliance with IATF 16949, TISAX, and internal IT policies
   
• Follow secure coding, change management, and access management standards
   
• Support internal and external audits by providing technical explanations and evidence
   
• Ensure data integrity, traceability, and cybersecurity best practices in production systems

Expectations:

• Several years of experience supporting production or MES systems in an automotive or industrial environment
• Proven experience in developing applications or automation using TCL
• Experience troubleshooting complex IT/OT environments and production incidents
• Advanced knowledge of production IT systems and MES platforms (e.g. FIS or similar)
• TCL programming (advanced level) for application development and automation
• Strong understanding of automotive production processes and data flows
• Advanced incident, problem, and root cause analysis skills
• Experience with databases (SQL) and system integrations
• IT/OT architecture and industrial network awareness
• Strong documentation and technical communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a production-critical environment
