Project

We are building a fintech platform from the ground up for a financial institution operating in the banking products space. As a Security Engineer, you will join a dedicated security stream responsible for implementing and integrating the platform’s security architecture. This is not a policy or governance role — this is a hands-on implementation position focused on deploying, configuring, and integrating security controls and tooling across a cloud-native infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

The project operates within a security architecture framework that defines mandatory controls and requirements. Your job is to make those requirements a reality: build the SIEM, integrate IAM and PAM solutions, deploy DLP and threat intelligence capabilities, configure CSPM, and connect all of these into a cohesive security operations layer. Some tools have already been selected and partially deployed (including PingAM on a trial license); others need to be evaluated and integrated.

We are looking for a versatile, hands-on engineer — someone who can work across multiple security domains, connect diverse toolsets, and automate deployments as well as who can take a security architecture blueprint and turn it into a working, integrated platform.

Responsibilities you'll have

• Implement security controls defined by the project’s security architecture framework across the GCP-based platform.
• Build and integrate SIEM capabilities — deploy, configure, and connect log sources across the platform.
• Integrate and configure IAM and PAM solutions (PingAM already deployed on trial license; further integration required).
• Deploy and configure DLP (Data Loss Prevention), threat intelligence, and anti-malware tooling.
• Implement and manage CSPM (Cloud Security Posture Management) across the GCP environment.
• Build proof-of-concept integrations for security tool endpoints and scale them to production readiness.
  
• Automate security infrastructure deployments using Terraform, Ansible, or scripting.
• Design security architecture at both logical and deployment levels — translate framework requirements into implementable designs.
• Collaborate with the DevOps team to embed security into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps approach).
• Communicate security implementation status, risks, and decisions in English to project leadership and technical teams.

Expected competences and knowledge

• Commercial experience as a Security Engineer, DevSecOps Engineer, or Cloud Security Engineer in an implementation/build capacity.
  
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) security services and configuration. (inna też przejdzie, ale kandydaci z GCp będą mieli duuuży plus)
• Practical experience implementing and integrating security tools across multiple domains: SIEM, IAM/PAM, DLP, CSPM, threat intelligence, or anti-malware.
  
• Ability to work across multiple security toolsets and integrate them into a cohesive platform — a generalist profile, not a single-tool specialist.
  
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation (Terraform, Ansible, or scripting) for security deployments.
• Experience designing security architecture — both logical architecture and deployment architecture.
  
• DevSecOps mindset — experience embedding security into cloud-native development and deployment workflows.
  
• Fluent English — ability to communicate freely in a professional setting (spoken and written).
  
• Availability to work from the office 3 days per week in one of the following locations: Warsaw or Tricity

Additional Technical Knowledge

• Experience with PingAM or similar access management platforms (ForgeRock, Keycloak).
  
• Experience with SIAM (Security Information and Access Management) integration patterns.
  
• Familiarity with financial services security frameworks and compliance requirements.
  
• GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer certification or equivalent.
  
• Experience with Kubernetes security (network policies, pod security, service mesh).
  
• Prior experience building security infrastructure from scratch for greenfield projects.
  
• Experience running proof-of-concept integrations and scaling them to production.
