What you’ll do at Jamf:
The IT Systems Administrator position will work cross-functionally between departments supporting all global enterprise systems and infrastructure available to the company. This specific role has a direct responsibility for supporting all global enterprise systems in addition to assisting IT leadership on meeting system level agreements and implementing strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in monitoring and administrating all globally-available IT-supported systems and technology while maintaining and reporting on global Service Level Agreements.
- Create documentation, workflows, and other supporting materials for systems topology, support, and administrative actions.
- Use ITIL processes and procedures for change, incident, and problem management of all enterprise services and systems.
- Assist in maintaining and developing automation of enterprise systems workflows and tasks.
- Take part in a rotation of duties maintaining our global service level agreements including at times 24x7 availability and off-hours responsibilities.
- Act as an escalation point for monitoring alerts and help desk tickets.
- Assess, design, administer, and manage the life cycle of data center hardware and related infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot, research, and resolve escalated technical problems and incidents in a timely and professional manner.
- Management, administration, and ongoing maintenance of enterprise server software and technologies.
Skills & Requirements
- Ability to manage multiple small projects while simultaneously adapting priorities quickly and effectively.
- A high level of independence as demonstrated through clear problem-solving, communication skills, and the delivery of high-quality work.
- Practical experience managing and supporting globally available IT infrastructure services, on-site and remotely.
- Minimum of 3 years experience working as a Linux systems administrator or similar IT role.
- Experience in orchestration and automation software such as Ansible, AWS Systems Manager, Puppet, or Chef(ideally minimum 6-12 moths).
- Experience working in a compliance-driven environment.
Nice to have:
- Experience administrating or supporting some of the following technologies is a plus:
- Windows Server technologies (Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, WSUS)
- Office365 - Exchange Online
- VMware vSphere
- Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3, Route53)
- Scripting (Bash, Powershell, Python)
- Container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes
- Atlassian Software: Jira and Confluence
