As a Senior Cybersecurity Automation and DevOps Engineer, you will be working for our client, a global leader in defense solutions for banking security. You will contribute to protecting HSBC’s infrastructure and customer data by developing and automating advanced cybersecurity and DevOps strategies, ensuring continuous improvement and strong defense against evolving threats. This role offers a unique chance to drive innovation and enhance security capabilities in a dynamic financial environment.
Your main responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and automate cybersecurity and DevOps solutions to bolster infrastructure security
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed security practices into software delivery pipelines
- Investigate and resolve complex security automation issues across various environments (DEV, UAT, Production)
- Maintain and improve infrastructure automation processes with an agile mindset
- Lead efforts to implement and optimize data protection strategies aligned with cybersecurity policies
- Develop and manage APIs, microservices, and containerized solutions following industry standards
- Monitor project progress, manage risks, and report on key security and automation metrics
- Advocate for best practices in DevOps, security, and agile development within the team
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in cybersecurity, DevOps, or related engineering roles
- Proficiency in Python scripting, web API development, and automation solutions
- Strong understanding of Data, Networks, and Endpoint security domains
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps practices, and agile methodologies
- Knowledge of API standards (Swagger, OpenAPI 3.0), REST, SOAP, JSON, and microservices architecture
- Experience with database solutions (MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and infrastructure delivery
- Excellent communication skills in fluent English (spoken and written)
- Willingness to lead by example and stay current with emerging cybersecurity trends
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Past experience as Systems Engineer, Application Support Specialist, or DBA
- Knowledge in system or application administration on Windows/Linux/UNIX environments
- Front-end/UI development experience (Figma, Wireframing, HTML/CSS/JS)

- Fluent English (spoken and written)
