Expert File Transmission Specialist – Digital Banking Infrastructure

As a Senior File Transmission Specialist, you will be working for our client, a leading player in digital banking infrastructure within the financial industry. You will contribute to supporting and optimizing HSBC’s critical file transmission services, ensuring seamless, secure data exchanges across global markets. Your main responsibilities:

• Deliver and manage client requests for file transmission configurations, including mailbox setup, routing, and partner onboarding.
• Troubleshoot transfer failures, connectivity issues, and performance problems across distributed systems.
• Support incident, problem, and change management processes, including root cause analysis and remediation efforts.
• Maintain detailed documentation, configuration records, and audit trails to meet compliance standards.
• Conduct health checks, monitor platform performance, and participate in disaster recovery testing to ensure system reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams globally to resolve issues and improve operational processes.
• Contribute to continuous improvements in automation, client onboarding, and overall operational efficiency.
• Support planned maintenance activities, including upgrades and patches, within scheduled windows.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• 8+ years of experience supporting enterprise file transmission and automation platforms.
• Hands-on expertise with IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG) and IBM Connect:Direct (C:D) on Linux or Windows.
• Strong knowledge of file transfer protocols (SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, AS2) and encryption mechanisms.
• Familiarity with cryptography, SSL/TLS, SSH, GPG/PGP, and key management solutions.
• Solid troubleshooting skills across network layers and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes related to Change, Incident, and Problem management.
• Basic scripting or automation skills (Shell, PowerShell, Python) are a plus.
• Awareness of cybersecurity principles and compliance standards.
• Certifications in IBM Sterling or related technologies are advantageous.

Language required for the role:
Fluent English with excellent communication skills.
