The Information Technology department of Íslandsbanki is a collaborative group of software development professionals who work together following best practices and processes to deliver high quality software solutions and capability.

Currently we are looking for a Front-end developer who will be working with a fully stacked team developing functional and appealing web based applications in the customer data platform, identity management, product and digital sales space.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in product development through cross team collaboration.
- Collaborate with team members to determine best practices and client requirements for software.
- Designing software for automatic testability, recoverability from failures, built in privacy and security.
- Development of intuitive software that meets and exceeds the needs of our customers.
- Continuous improvements of operational software, automation, testing, monitoring, performance and overall quality.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as software developer working with Angular, SASS/SCSS, Bootstrap.
- Passion for automating everything, RESTful API first development, data and event-driven architectures.
- Experience writing both unit and e2e tests (preferably Cypress), Swagger/OpenApi, and design systems ( such as Figma) is preferred.
- Experience working with our overall technical stack is a plus but not a requisite: Kubernetes, Docker, GIT, MSSQL, .NET Core/C#, OAuth / OpenID Connect.
- Good English verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working in Banking or Fintech is a plus.
- Excellent programming, problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to learn new coding languages and technologies.
