Technical Developer
About the role:
The Technical Developer provides day-to-day technical support for the Oracle Cloud ERP technology stack, including monitoring, reporting, UI extensions, and database management. This role is the backbone of platform reliability, performance tuning, and technical delivery across all Oracle Fusion modules.
Responsibilities:
Monitor existing inbound/outbound interface jobs (20 nightly jobs), respond to failures, and provide Redwood support; monitor email for errors or missed reports
Resolve minor defects (as needed): issues with OTBI reports, FRS, BI Publisher, SmartView, Fast Formulas, HDL loads; monitor scheduled report performance and apply fixes
Develop and maintain VBCS & APEX applications (2 projects/year, up to 120 hrs each): UI extensions for standard Fusion pages using Visual Builder Studio VBS) or APEX; manage ATP DB packages (advanced SQL/PL SQL
Deliver minor enhancements (10 - 15 reports/year, up to 120 hrs each): develop moderate to complex reports on an ad-hoc basis as part of standard operational support
Perform quarterly patch testing (4 /year): patching and upgrades as suggested by Oracle Conduct structured root cause analysis RCA) for high-severity and recurring incidents
Perform ongoing performance monitoring and tuning — trend analysis, bottleneck identification, recommendations for responsiveness and scalability
Maintain technical documentation: integration design specs, interface catalogs, technical runbooks, environment diagrams
Track all work in client's ITSM tool (SolarWinds)
Attend daily stand-up calls client's business hours (8AM - 5PM Pacific)
Requirements:
5+ years of technical experience with the Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP technology stack
Strong skills in OTBI, BI Publisher, Financial Reporting Studio FRS, SmartView Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL (including ATP Database packages)
Experience building UI extensions with Oracle Visual Builder Studio VBS and/or APEX
Hands-on experience with Fast Formulas and HCM Data Loader HDL Familiarity with Oracle Fusion scheduled jobs, ESS processes, and Redwood scheduler
Experience with Oracle Cloud quarterly patch testing and regression testing
Strong troubleshooting, RCA, and documentation skills
High proficiency in written and spoken English
Nice to Have:
Experience with Oracle Cloud BI / Dashboards / Analytics
Oracle Cloud ERP technical certification
Exposure to Oracle EPM Cloud (ePBCS) technical components
Prior managed services / outsourcing experience
Familiarity with Agile delivery and ITSM tools
